Each zone focuses on a specific industry and offers students access to resources and mentors to help develop their own idea or collaborate on someone else’s. Students work at the forefront of emerging markets to develop new products, explore innovative solutions, or embark on ventures to change the world. With zone learning, you will develop valuable skills and gain real-world experience that employers look for, or even graduate with your own startup.

iBoost Zone: An acceleration platform space designed for customer-centric problem solving, directed at entrepreneurial technology students

SocialVentures Zone: A space directed at the next generation of changemakers, transforming ideas into action to create positive and viable social change

Legal Innovation Zone: A co-working space that aims to change the status quo of Canada’s legal system

Startup School: Available to all zone students. Startup School provides just-in-time workshops on topics ranging from design-thinking to identifying opportunities, along with hard skills needed to start or accelerate your venture. It is a fundamental part of zone learning, led by top industry experts, academic thought leaders and seasoned entrepreneurs to teach much-needed business skills.

Optional specialization designation: Completing four terms of enrollment in zone learning earns you the optional specialization, which appears right on your transcript.
